The Pig Pint - Tougaloo

Only the sides I had can I critique. Green Tomato was hard, felt like frozen. Potato salad was authentic but a little more seasoning. Smokey Mac and cheese was not smokey. Now the pork was good, tender and their hand made sauces were excellent. I suggest the mustard sauce. Especially if you like Verde sauce. Not bad at all, but small improvements could help

We were in Jackson for the first time and looking for a good place to eat! We loved it! Their specialty is brisket and pork and they really know what they're doing!

Stopped here for a late lunch. The pulled pork sandwiches were delicious. Hubby liked the coleslaw and I enjoyed the mac cheese. The server said they make it there with smoked gouda. Yum! Enjoyed my meal so much, I got a tee shirt!

Every time I'm in Mississippi I make my way to the pig and pint this time I didnt have anything that was very good. I'm just hoping it was a bad day

My family and I tried out Pig Pint on Thursday evening. 3 of us had the BBQ Taco Sampler and we chose pork, chicken and brisket. I ate mine without any extra BBQ sauce it it was still flavorful. My husband sampled the BBQ sauces on the table. My son tried the Bacon Melt but he wasn't a fan. Everyone should try their homemade strawberry lemonade. It was delicious! The staff was friendly and food came out pretty fast. The only real issue we had was fighting to eat our food through the many flies that have taken up residence inside the screened in area. We did have to make a couple of loops before someone left out the parking lot. They only have a few spaces in their actual lot.
