The White Hart - Torridge

Thought we would give some trade to this pub set back in a secondary street away from riverside. Online it looked nice and had an outside seating area. Walked in to bar. No other customers at the bar. Two members of staff: one doing accounts...with a calculator and one texting. They both ignored us. When we spoke to each other, one looks up, said hi and then went back to texting. Nothing said; not even “sorry I’ll be with you in a sec, I just need to finish this”. We have up and left.

Very dated, and smelt of urine in the back garden, Not pleasant at all. No decent pub in Bideford very disappointed

Needed to find a place to sit down and have a drink. Found this pub down one of the small streets off the main road and it was lovely. Sat in the back garden with the family. Does seem like a locals pub, but very...welcoming to guests. Honest, affordable prices for drinks and snacks.

Just popped in to get out of the rain, lovely little pub made to feel very welcome by the lady behind the bar and the customers, thank you for welcoming and fussing our two dogs and understanding Jagos anxiety issues, they both enjoyed the free...treats. Will call again next time we are here hopefully.
