Trattoria Bell'arrivo

Ate here last week as we have visited this restaurant in previous years of visiting Torri and always had a lovely meal. We sat in the garden at the rear of the restaurant. Our (quite arrogant) waiter took our order and about a minute later I visited the toilet. By the time I returned (within 2 minutes) our food was on the table. I had gnocchi and my husband had escalope. My gnocchi was ok but my husband's was awful...it was basically an anaemic looking flat piece of meat with about 4 thin wedges of potato. He ate it as he was hungry and told the waiter he didn't enjoy it. The waiter brought out a carafe of wine (as an apology I assume) which we didn't want as we hadn't drunk the one we had! Overall an overpriced and disappointing meal. We have since eaten in far better restaurants in Torri on the remainder of our holiday.

On the recommendation of a travel guide my wife and I visited this restaurant for dinner. Our initial impression, having been met by who we assumed to be the Head Waiter, was not posiitve. However the menu choice was good, and not so restrictive as many of the other restaurants along the lake side, which were very repetative. We were not disappointed by the quality of the food, but our experience with the service from the Head Waiter was frankly astonishing and we can only assume he had graduated from the Basil Fawlty school of customer service! It cannot be good for business when the lasting memory is not of the food quality but of the shocking customer service

We visited on our wedding anniversary. Food was very good. My wife had trout which she enjoyed especially as it was filleted. I had pizza which was very good. Only slight complaint was that drinks seemed to be a bit expensive compared to other places nearby

The seafood was delicious and apart from fish, they have many other seafood dishes. Friendly and prompt service.

We met the infamous waiter and he was fine but we can see why others might be offended. We found his approach amusing the trick is to make him smile. The food was very good. We had salmon In asparagus sauce and pasta with wild mushrooms and scallops. Setting was beautiful on the small harbour.
