Horrible service. Took 30 minutes to prepare our tasteless meal. Hostile servers. By the way, the five star reviews here are fake.

The bento box are a really good value with tasty salad and soup. I especially love the vegetable that comes with the bento box that consist of lotus root, carrots, beans and konjac jelly not pictured here ! Zaru soba is equally awesome !

If you want authentic Japanese food on the cheap, the food court of Mitsuwa (several supermarkets in SoCal) is always a good option. Misasa at the Torrance location has several donburi and bento dishes that are good and reasonably priced. If you want higher quality, your only choice is a much more expensive full-service restaurant.
