フィードバックを提供するI had lunch today at Island Foods (Dufferin Street/King Street W). I've been going there since 1998 and it's my favourite place to get a chicken roti.<br/ <br/ It's a popular spot at lunchtime. I got there at 11:45am and there was a bit of line-up. By noon, the line-up was outside the door. But the wait is worth it! <br/ <br/ I got what I always get ... a boneless chicken roti. And as always, it was delicious!
After getting a recommendation to come here 5-10 years ago, I've finally made it.<br/ <br/ I ordered my staple, boneless goat roti, medium pepper and they did not disappoint. <br/ <br/ After giving up on a nearby competitor's goat roti I didn't have a good spot downtown so I'm glad to know there's an alternative now. <br/ <br/ They're definitely in my top 5.
I have had many roti's but nothing compares to the one's made at Island foods. The quality of goat meat is always consistent, soft, hot and flavour full. Polite servers. Plus they always have a booth at the exhibition.
Roti Lover!. The first time I ate here was because my work ordered out during a snow storm so I decided to give it a try. The Goat Roti is my favorite and it has just the right amount of spice! I went in for take out one day and the service was friendly and fast! Also a very reasonable price!
Great Roti. Great roti, I came 15 min before closing, the place was packed, didn't got the chance to eat there so I went home to eat it. Still was a very solid good roti, the amount of potatoes with the meat was proportionate and the curry resist the 2 layers of roti, lamb was fresh, the texture of the roti was soft and light. I liked it a lot, overall great place for a quick grub
