フィードバックを提供するI had one of my most disappointing dining experiences in Toronto at Ichiban Sushi. This little sushi spot, located in the St. Lawrence Market, is a hidden gem, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations.
This place is terrible. I went with a coworker and ordered the 20-piece sushi combo, but we only received 19 sushi pieces, along with one nigiri that had a human hair in it. I kindly pointed this out...
Thank goodness it’s Friday! My friends were really craving sushi, so they recommended this spot. I ordered the uni sashimi, but I didn't think the uni had much flavor...
Ichiban Sushi Restaurant has locations all over Toronto, and since I absolutely LOVE sushi, it's surprising that I've never been there before. For my appetizer, I ordered the Seaweed Salad, which was different from others I've tried. Their seaweed is not the typical kind you find at most Japanese restaurants; it's fresh seaweed.
Fortunately, it did not disappoint. I started with the soft shell crab as an appetizer, wanting to try something new. It turned out to be surprisingly delicious and tender. For my main course, I had the Sashimi lunch, and the slices were generously cut and fresh. Overall, it's a great place to go if you're in the mood for some Japanese cuisine. I’ll definitely return if I'm ever near St. Lawrence Market!
