Osteria Del Frate - Torino

Delicious multi-course dinner from Piedmontese set menu. Excellent friendly service and well presented. Food was hearty, authentic, generous and flavoursome. Great value, with wine dessert and extras included. $25 euros.

Recommended by the concierge at our hotel this was the best value meal we've had in Italy. Down an unpreposesing side street we had a friendly welcome with a glass of prosecco, followed by a 4 course table d'hote meal with wine and coffee came to €55 for 2. The cooking was excellent traditional fare, with handmade ravioli, veal with a creamy sauce and beef in a rich wine sauce. Puddings to die for! A good job we got there early as latecomers were being turned away, and this on a Monday evening. Thoroughly recommended.

Got to rave about this one in a quite but central side street. Lovely jolly couple serving, food simple but interesting. Happy to accommodate vegetarian. Extraordinarily good value 'set meals '. Must go there.

Il servizio non era nemmeno con il cibo decisamente molto buono. Forse non era sera, vale la pena dargli una possibilità.
