Lonnie Q's Bbq - Topeka

The flavors and tastes here are outstanding, and the meats are cooked perfectly at the right temperature. The only suggestion I have is to offer a different type of bun, perhaps sourdough or something similar.

Barbecue options in Topeka are quite limited, but Lonnie's is a solid choice. The Q Cup offers good value for the price. I would recommend steering clear of the hot BBQ sauce; in my opinion, just adding cayenne to regular BBQ sauce doesn't really create a true spicy flavor. However, the regular BBQ sauce is quite tasty. I prefer to have BBQ sauce on the potatoes and mixed into the beans, as these additions really enhance the sides for me.

Incredible pork and brisket! Unfortunately, they had just run out of the famous cheesy potatoes that we were eager to try. The owner was on-site, and he was genuinely concerned about our experience. He went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. Kudos to him for his dedication to his customers! I highly recommend supporting his business and trying the fantastic barbecue.

Stopped on our way to Colorado. We were pleasantly surprised. Everything thing was excellent! I had the smoked turkey and my friend's had the pulled pork. All tasted fresh. The sides were equally delicious. My favorite was the cheesey potatoes. Definitely worth the stop.
