Blue Mountain Hotel - Toowoomba

We had lunch on a weekend and there was no lunch menu available. The main menu wasn't overly appealing for lunch. We had decided to go there so stayed. The meals weren't anything out of the normal for a pub meal. The service was good and the views were great.

Ordered the glaziour steaks meals where good but our steaks where undercooked I ordered a well done steak and it was undercooked still red only fully cooked around the edge of steak , my boyfriend ordered medium rare steak and it was cooked rare still very **** and he has an upset stomach because of that.

80th birthday party for 35 friends. A chair collapsed. 4 grubs found in broccoli. Terribly understaffed. One person serving drinks AND taking food orders. Long line. Then he had to serve the food as well. At one stage a female assisted but had to go back to "her post". Took 2 hours for my coffee to arrive. Some guests left before their drinks came. Placecard reads " book your function here. " NEVER

We dined at Blue Mountain for an early dinner. The staff were very friendly and professional. We sat at a window side table and had a lovely view of the range. We wanted to sit outside but it was too windy, it would have been nice. The restaurant has a nice welcoming feel.

I had lasagne with salad and chips. Didn't need the chips as it was a large serving. Lasagne was a little dry but OK. Companions had chicken Snitzel and loved it, fillet mignon and loved it, garlic prawns and loved it. Nice cool environment on a hot day and very friendly staff and quick service. Would go again.
