The pizza is definitely unlike what I'm used to, but I really enjoyed it. It had a fluffy crust, a crispy texture, and a very flavorful sauce.
I visited this place twice and had a great experience both times. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the pizza is absolutely delicious. It has a distinct Brooklyn flavor, which sets it apart from North Jersey pizza. It's nice to enjoy authentic pizza here, especially when compared to the imitations found in South Jersey. However, there were a few pizzas that were unfortunately burned, indicating a need for better quality control. Given the rising prices of pizza these days, I believe every slice should be a solid value.
This is definitely the best pizza in the area. It's so delicious that other pizzerias have started copying their special recipes. I recommend eating it right away, as it cools down quickly and loses some of its flavor when left in the box. While it is on the pricey side, the experience is truly unforgettable.
The classic square pizza is tomato forward, and the crust has a lovely contrast between an uber-crisp bottom and airy dough. The pizza turned out so much lighter than I was judging from the appearance. The store also sells its own bottled drinks. I had the ginger ale and found it refreshing. This pizza is definitely in the running for best I've ever had, and is without a doubt the best Sicilian I've eaten. Do yourself a favor and visit if you're in the area. And if you aren't, going out of your way to eat this pizza is time well spent. It's that good.
