I asked for no cheese in my omelet and veggies in my hashbrowns (which I think are small requests) and my omelette had cheese sauce and cheese on top and nothing was added to the hashbrowns. Not a huge deal, but a bit disappointing after waiting so long to get service and for the food to come out. The waitress was super nice but seemed to not know what she was going. Ordered coffee but never got cream or sugar, didn’t get silverware with our meal or any condiments until we asked, and our receipt added the math incorrectly so it showed $10 over what the true price was. Assuming it was all the effects of short staffing that resulted in a sub par experience.
Menus have been updated since posted. Coffee $1.43. Large facility and the kitchen was slow but it was very busy for a Sunday. WiFi very good. The booth we were in was not comfortable. Large portions. We don’t usually see as a breakfast item a “all you can eat” French toast or pancakes. Eggs seemed to be fried on the lighter side. The Cinnamon roll was below average and would not get again. If you like extra thick toast you’ll like this. Staff was not perfect but nice and cordial. Was not open on Monday “call before arriving” I would try another cafe before coming back but still would recommend this place.
They couldn't make serve half a sandwich soup because it was Sunday? Just lazy...Also out of roast beef which is in half their items. Differently not ever worth a visit.
Time seems to slow down at Tomah, and as soon as you step inside, you’re greeted with warm welcomes and friendly faces. Our waitress, Dixie, was absolutely wonderful, providing a truly 5-star experience with a nurturing touch. The chili we ordered was delicious and packed with bold flavors, making for a hearty start to our meal. Before we knew it, our meals were served, and Dixie was quick to ensure we had everything we needed—from hot sauce to salt and pepper. The portion sizes were generous and the prices reasonable, but the highlight? The food! I had one of the best omelets I’ve ever tasted, and the toast was thick and fluffy. The hash browns hit the spot perfectly. If you find yourself in Tomah, be sure to stop by the Greenwood Café and take a moment to enjoy life at a slower pace.
The Greenwood Café has quickly become our go-to spot for breakfast or brunch. The atmosphere feels very welcoming, and the staff are incredibly kind and friendly, making you feel like part of the family. The food is fantastic too! The chef really knows how to cook! I highly recommend this place, especially since it's a family-owned business.
