All dishes are prepared with fresh, homemade ingredients and are delicious, healthy and nourishing for body and soul. I love the process of quietly waiting in meditation in his living room. It is such a beautiful contrast to the ubiquitous noise and chatter that dominate the restaurant landscape. You can really feel the love and peace that are transferred to the food and will be satisfied and come in and in a satvic state of being.
Prasad's home kitchen is a hidden gem in Tiruvannamalai. If you are looking for pure, clean and wholesome food, there is no better place than this. Raj ji cooks with love and real devotion to Bhagawan; if you are doing any sadhana you will highly appreciate it. As per the taste, the food here is one of the best I've ever eaten in my life. Seriously, I could eat here everyday for the rest of my life!!
One of the best vegetarian food in Tiruvannamalai. The food is home cooked by the friendly Mr. Raj, and is so tasty. One can feel as if was cooked by a divine celestial being, it is that perfect. The place is open most days from 11.30am to 1pm. The menu is different everyday, and one will be served with rice, chapathi, and a few vegetables. Mr. Raj is also a very good host, don’t be shy to ask him if your tummy yearns for more food. Prasad’s Home Kitchen is very very highly recommended, don’t miss it if you’re in Tiruvannamalai. It is quite close to Ramanasramam.
I’ve been coming to India for the past 33years. I can honestly say this food surpasses everything I’ve ever had. Everyday the thali changes, the taste, flavor and Raj’s preparation Is second to none. Diya ananda aaya!!!!!!!!!
Healthiest, freshest, best quality food served in Tiruvannamalai. Raj Uncle serves only what he has prepared for the day, and his years of perfecting his unique and flavorful style of Indian cuisine, is apparent in the wide range of totally delicious and satisfying dishes that he makes. Even beyond this, Raj Uncle is an ardent devotee of Bhgwan Ramana/Arunachala Shiva, and is very active at Ramana Ashram and in the community at large. His kitchen has the peaceful asthetic and vibration of an ashram, and his piety and devotion reflects in his family-style Seva for the Sadhakas and devotees of Annamalai, both foreign and native. So, if you are doing Sadhana here, visit Raj's kitchen and taste and feel the difference in his Prasad.
