Truluck's Seafood - Timmonsville

I had a rather disappointing experience at this restaurant during my last visit, which I assume is under new ownership. When I arrived, it took almost 10 minutes for any other customers to show up and place their orders, but the young lady who was supposed to take my order was on the phone, apparently ordering Chinese food. I felt completely ignored as I waited for her attention for those 10 minutes before I eventually left. My previous visit, about three weeks ago, wasn't great either, as the food didn't meet the regular standards I had expected.

Truluck offers Hunts Pizza, which is the only location nearby. I've tried to call multiple times to place an order, but they rarely answer their phone. When they do pick up, it's often just to hang up immediately. I'm not the only one who's noticed this issue. One would think they would pay attention to these complaints and use the feedback to improve their customer service, but that doesn't seem to be the case. While the food is excellent, their customer service needs significant improvement. If I really want their pizza, I have to go there in person, which means waiting in line for 15 to 20 minutes to place my order, and then waiting another 10 minutes or more for my food. I really wish they would answer the phone!

I absolutely love the food at Truluck's! However, today my family visited and I planned to prepare seafood. I ordered 8 black bass, 4 croakers, and 6 whiteys. When I got home, I found that I only received 16 fish in total. I was really disappointed, especially since I live 21 miles away from Truluck's.

Today April 2, 2021 I visit truluck for someone birthday. The food is good but some of the personalities that work there is yet to be admired. They purchase two large black bass and two large perch. Wanted them fried added peas and tomato and rice and a bag of skins and a bag of crackling. A second dinner was ordered of flounder and shrimps dinner off the menu. A third and 4th dinner was ordered off the menu 2 peice whitting and shrimp dinner. Paid almost $74.00 for 4 dinners a bag of cracking and a bag of skins. When they call me to pick up the dinners I gracefully pick up my order and walk to a table to check make sure I have everything. The 4 fish was there along with the side order, 2 two pieces whitting dinner was there and there side orders but the flounder dinner was not there. I was still in the store so I went back to the cashier and let her know I did received the fourth dinner. She proceeded to tell me I didn't order a fourth dinner. Then other workers got involved to find out what had happened. They came to a conclusion that the amount was correct and that I didn't ordered a flounder and shrimp dinner. She told me that I didn't order a 4th dinner. I'm not as smart as some but I know what I ordered. Any how I was offer the 4th dinner at half price. I accepted received the dinner now the price of all dinner together is in the upper 90's. I like trueluck but if they're price continues to climb. I can find better use of my money elsewhere.

The food here is so fresh and cooked to order. It tastes delicious and I always get more than I can eat.
