George's - Timmonsville

The staff is very friendly and kind, and the food is also quite delicious.

The fried chicken is excellent and cooked fresh to order. However, you can only get it through the drive-thru. You can either call in your order or wait about twenty minutes. Regardless, it's definitely worth it!

The Chicken Bog, accompanied by crowned green and black-eyed peas, was incredible! It had that authentic, old-fashioned home-cooked feel, served quickly and with a smile!

I've been dining at George's since I was a little girl, and I absolutely love the food—until today! This restaurant is truly one of the last authentic Greek establishments we have in or near the Florence area, and it's even better than many places in Athens. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and are eager to serve you as much as you want! Their South Sea Bass is the best I've ever had, along with a variety of other menu items like seafood, burgers, fries, subs, hamburger steak with onions, and chicken dishes. If I could give this place 100 stars, I would! If you find yourself in Timmonsville or Florence, it's worth the drive for truly excellent food. I've traveled quite a distance to avoid disappointing dining experiences, but Mr. George and Mrs. Angie never let me down! Alternatively, you can call ahead and place an order for pickup—they even have a drive-thru window for convenience!

You have great food, always helpful and nice. The prices are slightly higher than I expected, but all and all are worth it.
