Taqueria Mendez - Tillamook

I love this place. I'd eat there every day if I could. If you're coming out to the beautiful Oregon coast, and find yourself in Tillamook around a meal time, stop. They have an enclosed covered patio, a must for the blustery and rainy days we so frequently endure.The best green sauce ever. I could almost live on this alone but adding it to the carnitas super burrito is ? in all the good ways. I haven't gotten anything bad here ever, and the staff as so great. I'd call if you're ordering ahead, the website order option doesn't always notify, I like to stop by just after work and have a chill in the car before home with the goods.

The best tacos we’ve ever had in the Pacific Northwest! Chico’s family is from México and he says this is as authentic as it gets to the real street style tacos if you’re looking for them!Fresh pressed tortillas, LOADED with flavor, and the sweetest family. Come support them, we wouldn’t be writing this review if we weren’t obsessed with how good the food is here! We live in Portland, and this just makes all the Mexican restaurants there feel like they need to step up their game! I’ve only tried the taco salad and queso birria, and both are fantastic! The tortilla bowl is clearly freshly fried and incredibly tasty! My husband follows a keto diet, so he usually skips the tortillas, but here they offer a homemade chicharrón tostada, which gives him a satisfying low-carb alternative. The consommé for the birria is delicious, but...

The birria tacos are a must-try! When paired with the flavorful consome, they create an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere could benefit from some patio heaters, so be sure to bundle up if you decide to dine outside. However, the rain and chilly weather wouldn't stop me from enjoying this spot. They also offer all your traditional favorites!

The food is affordable, the portions are generous, and it tastes fantastic. I just wish they'd include a bit more meat in the tacos and burritos. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick Mexican meal.
