I have eaten at this restaurant before and it is definitely an improvement from what it used to be. However, my recent experience with placing a delivery order was disappointing as the food never arrived. The restaurant's poor handling of the situation and blaming of Deliveroo without attempting to resolve the issue has made me decide to never order from or dine in at this restaurant again. Deliveroo was not pleased with their response and a formal complaint has been filed. I should have gone with the Rice Box nearby, which has a much better attitude towards customer service. Lesson learned, I would recommend avoiding the Raj as there are plenty of other restaurants where customers are valued.
I have visited this restaurant frequently in the past, but ever since they started accepting orders from Just Eat, the service has deteriorated significantly. On two occasions, we decided to call the restaurant directly and both times we had to wait over 2 hours for our food. Tonight, we placed an order at 6:20 and it didn't arrive until 8:30, despite living just down the road. The food was cold and the naan bread was undercooked. We will not be ordering from here again. The restaurant should prioritize the customers who were loyal to them before Just Eat came into the picture. It seems as though they are overwhelmed with too much work, and it is evident in the service provided. Very disappointing.
Curry was full of oil over my plate, naan bread was charcoal and not edible and to top it off the food was 45 mins late! The manager said he would sort us out on the next order! Haha you must be joking
Were only ones in the restaurant, decor not changed in absolutely years, could do with a revamp (or a good dusting) food ok, nothing special
