Olive Oil Oregano - Thurrock

I went here today post COVID. It was busy as they are participating in the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme in August 2020. The souvlaki was up to standard I had the chicken in a wrap with a few chips and salad. The waiting time was good compared to other restaurants in the Food Court. The thing that let it down was the lack of sanitisation of the tables. I sat for half an hour eating my food and not one member of staff came round to clear or wipe the tables. I did my table myself with my own tissue and sanitiser. I think they should be more particular especially in these times.

Four of us visited the restaurant in lakeside shopping centre in west Thurrock , I can honestly tell you the food is cold , specially the chips, the staff could not be bothered. I had to return a chips which cost £2.90 and the portion is a pity. I asked for the chips to be hot but the chef wouldn’t have it , he was cleaning the fryer and tidying an hour before the shop closed. Avoid at all cost. Very poor customer service.

We never eat at the food court because it is a rather dirty, unpleasant place and i am not sure how Lakeside shopping centre lets the restaurants get away with it there. This establishment had some mobile phone like device that pages you when the food is ready, again, they need to clean those things, its disgusting. The guy who took the order did not understand what i ordered, the meals are TINY too. so much for the unpleasantness that we rather eat at the other places nearby, watching an outlet of our, in theory favourite food (Greek) will be going under no doubt.

Tell me is the PORK or CHICKEN? If this is chicken then I can assure you i would be throwing up right now! Look how pink this is!! This is 100% pork. Im not stupid! Two of the staff members at Stratford Westfields stood there and shouted at me because I asked for chicken and they served me PORK. They were adamant that it was chicken, even tried to show me other examples of cooked meats and patronised me by sloooowly saying this is Pork and this is Chicken. IM NOT STUPID! I KNOW WHAT MEAT I AM EATING. MY HUSBAND IS ALSO A CHEF FOR GODS SAKE! They refused to change it for chicken, even fingered my food and gave me back THE SAME ONE TO EAT. Disgusting service. I will take this further. Also wheres the salad? It was all cold too and they gave me stale chips. NASTY

Stopped by for lunch and ordered the Gyros as it is one of my favourite Greek foods. Food was quickly prepared and ready within 5 minutes, when I collected food I asked what sauces they had and was told that they had ketchup when I asked about other sauces I was told there was a charge which is disappointing as every other time I have had Gyros for other places sauces have been included. The food was quite flavourless and basic, the meats were dry, chips over cooked and salad basic and very small. Overall the food was overpriced £7.90 and portion was small and poor quality. I would not recommend and suggest visiting one of the many other food establishments nearby.
