Tara Vietnamese Grill - Thornhill

Cute little place to have a quick bite to eat. Family-run restaurant; the couple running the place are very kind and courteous. The golden crispy spring rolls were delicious and the pho was fresh. Place is decorated with pictures taken from their trip to Vietnam which gives it a personal touch. The only thing I didn?t like is the bubble tea; granted I wasn?t expecting much as this is not a bubble tea shop. I would suggest getting a smoothie instead as it is way better and you still get tapioca and jelly like a bubble tea.

This was my first visit to TARA, and I found it to be a very welcoming and cozy restaurant run by my neighbor. My wife chose this new spot to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be an excellent decision—great service and delicious food. We particularly enjoyed the rice paper roll with grilled chicken, as many Vietnamese restaurants typically offer rolls only with shrimp (which was a win for us since my wife is allergic to shrimp, making this our first chance to try this dish at TARA). We also had a lovely conversation with the owner and discovered that they are from Montreal, just like us! What a delightful surprise to connect with someone from our hometown. We will definitely return for more rolls, both the roasted spring rolls and rice paper rolls. I highly recommend checking out TARA!

I've been enjoying Pho my entire life, but TARA elevates it to an entirely new level. The Pho is incredibly refined, and the broth is of outstanding quality. My wife and I sampled several items from the menu, and everything was excellent. This is now a must-visit restaurant for us while living downtown, and we’re more than willing to make the trip for some delicious Vietnamese food.

I highly recommend the caramelized pork belly vermicelli bowl! The fresh herbs and mango added a delightful touch. The warm hospitality from the wonderful family that runs this restaurant made the experience even better.
