フィードバックを提供するAside from serving the best donburi in the city, this restaurant also offers a diverse range of Japanese finger foods that are hard to come by elsewhere. The skewered chicken hearts and squid are particularly fantastic, but every item on the menu is delicious. This establishment isn't your typical sushi or bulgogi spot – they specialize in donburi, and they do it exceptionally well. The prices are reasonable, and unless you visit during peak hours on the weekend, parking should not be an issue.
This restaurant is a simple, casual, affordable, and cozy place with great service and food. I was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of new options on the menu, instead of the typical Japanese dishes I expected. I highly recommend this restaurant!
I finally made it back to this restaurant three years later. The menu has been updated and prices have gone up. Unfortunately, they no longer have the polar beer I had been wanting to try since my last visit. When we arrived at 7:00 pm on a Friday, I noticed a high table had just been cleared. I preferred that table for its coziness, so my friend and I waited near the door while the server cleaned it. Another customer arrived just as the table was cleared and the server mistakenly sat her at the table we had been waiting for. I quickly signaled for another server to correct the mistake. The customer was asked to move and we were finally seated. The food we ordered was average, with one dish even being cold. The onigiri rice balls were a pleasant surprise, but the beef bowls were the standout dishes. Avoid the Zaru Soba as it lacked flavor. We received a free dessert for checking in on Yelp, which was a nice touch.
We found this place when we wanted to eat after midnight. The place is clean and not too elegant. You have drinks, varieties of Donburi, snacks and two different créme brûlée for desserts (Vanille and Matcha). We ordered beef donburi and grilled chicken donburi....Both were delicious. The spits were also beautiful (the beef kewer was our favorite). The Matcha créme brûlée was also beautiful (small size, perfect). What I was impressed by this place, besides eating and opening hours, was the kindness and hospitality of the servers. They tried to talk to every table. I felt like home. Try it!
I came here on a recommendation from a few coworkers, one of which is Japanese! First impression-interesting decor but unique for sure. Kinda quiet, and a little uninviting. Food-barely so-so: We ordered several skewers shrimp, cuttlefish, scallops and beef tongue) they were ALL very small...and cold. Taste was ok. Dumplings were hot and delicious. Roast squid was too smokey and again, cold! Oh and we found a short black hair on the skewer plate. But not till after we 'd eaten everything on it! I did not enjoy their signature beef donburi. The beef was stringy and fatty. The rice was blah! The chicken Teppanyaki was the best of the three meals we ordered but still not good enough to bring me back here. Service-one waitress, who did not speak! Literally dropped half full glasses of warm water on our table and left without a word. Next, the menus with order sheet were dropped on the table without a single word. I had to call her back after we waited for 20 mins to tell her we were ready to order. She picked up the order sheet, said nothing, and walked away. Didn 't even get to order drinks! Food arrived in a rather random order? We got one appy, then 2 meals, then the skewers, followed by another meal and finally the last remaining appy. Bizarre! Still no drink order and by now we were out of that 1/2 glass of water, so I had to call the waitress back again. When we asked for a couple of to go containers, I thought that should be a clue that we were done our meal and ready to pay. Sadly, she did not get the message so AGAIN I had to call her back to pay for our meal!!! I will NOT be coming back here!
