フィードバックを提供するA real gem of a find. We were looking for a simple no fuss dinner. A laid back restaurant but the service was first class. Our waitress was delightful. Very helpful and extremely efficient and pleasant. We opted to share a pizza, which was ample for the two of us, a carafe of rosé, chips and salad just nudged our bill over €30. A truly delightful place to eat. Very happy to recommend.
This place benefits from being the summer-only sister to its upmarket neighbour (same kitchens and chef I believe?).Anyway, the place is nothing to look at, the dining terrace is rather dull (possibly better at night under lights?), the location is convenient rather than pretty, but the food was superb and you can't argue with the price - €16 per head for a 2 course lunch, service included. There is a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts. We had prawns to start with followed by stuffed sea bream. Both were excellent.
16 bis sits next to Jilali B, its parent restaurant. 16 is not quite a restaurant, but it's more than a bar of a café. There's a short menu - approximately 5 tapas, 5 entrées, 5 main courses and a few desserts in a chill cabinet. Open (1200-1330) at lunchtime, and in the evening from 1915, it's run usually by a single waitress and borrows next door's kitchen to produce dishes that are less 'fine dining' and more 'fast food' - but damn fine fast food!My burger Rossini (beef, foie gras, shaved truffle in a burger bun) was delicious, and accompanied by enough chips to feed the front row of a rugby team. Madame's pizza d'eté (jambon cru, cheese, rocket, shaved truffle and truffle oil) would have fed two.Small - maybe 30 covers - the setting is pleasant; semi-open air and furnished like a mid-market beach bar (except the beach is across the road, down a ramp, and past the marina). Some traffic noise intrudes, but it's not a motorway running past the door. Plenty of room between the tables.Recommended if you want to eat well (but not food that's punting for a Michelin star), quickly and at a reasonable price. Tapas from €3, starters €8-12, mains €12-18.Open only from mid-June to mid-September.
