Thendara Pine

We ordered some simple dishes: a cheeseburger, quesadillas, and a chicken sandwich. My grandson found the burger to be just okay. Unfortunately, the chicken was tasteless, even with the red pepper mayo. The quesadilla was so overloaded with black pepper that it was inedible. I had to look for a server to request a take-out box for the burger and to settle my bill. Given the COVID restrictions, they’re not operating at full capacity, but I believe the staff could benefit from some additional training.

As we were wrapping up our meal, the manager approached us. She sincerely apologized and tried to explain the situation but then mentioned that there was no reason for us to make our server cry. First of all, I would be embarrassed if I were that server, given the management's lack of professionalism in discussing her feelings in front of us. Secondly, we didn't make anyone cry; we simply asked for a couple of minor adjustments to our order, and we didn't create a fuss about my baby's meal being incorrect. I understand that starting a new job can be stressful, but this approach isn’t the right one. My mom had the opportunity to express her concerns to the owner, but he kept repeating that we had an overall bad experience, as if he were on autopilot. We won't be returning. They definitely need to provide better training for their staff.

The salad and bread that accompanied our dinners were fresh and flavorful, and they offer an excellent selection of wines, beers, and spirits. I sipped on a Tito's Martini—my own "COVID Cocktail" as I jokingly referred to it in my photo, since it sort of resembled my mask. Be sure to save room for dessert! We indulged in chocolate cake, tiramisu, and carrot cake, all of which were delightful. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the wait staff are friendly, masked, and helpful. They were more than happy to clarify the COVID dining mask rules when I asked. It’s quite simple: when you're at your table enjoying your meal, no mask is required; but when you leave your table, you need to wear one. I highly recommend checking out the entire menu and calling to reserve your table. Now it’s time for you to experience the delicious food and the inviting, relaxing atmosphere at Thendara Pine!

We stopped for dinner after a day of snowmobiling, and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff was extremely friendly. Every dish we tried was delicious! The drink prices were very reasonable as well. I would definitely return without hesitation!
