Food is good and at a reasonable price, especially for a restaurant. The only reason that let's this restaurant down is the price for drinks. It is the same as ordering another meal. Very, expensive, which put me off eating here again.

We visited Cardiff for the Coeliac UK food show and stayed at the Copthorne Hotel for the weekend. We decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. The waitress was not knowledgeable about gluten-free options, so we asked the head waiter for assistance. He reassured us that he knew which items on the menu were gluten-free and safe to eat. We ordered the lasagne, but when it was brought to our table, we asked again to confirm if it was gluten-free. The waitress had to check and the head waiter came over to apologize, revealing that the lasagne was not gluten-free. It is disappointing that in this day and age, some restaurants still lack awareness and put customers at risk. We were relieved that we did not eat the lasagne and avoided any potential consequences.

The head of waiters approached and said he was very sorry and it seems that Lasaña was not GF.I cannot believe in this day and age that they are so unpathic and ignorant and they are exposed to being sued.Complacido we did not eat it and then we had to suffer the consequences. Food could have been hotter. Good choice of fruit, cereals and cooked breakfast. No pastries, croissants left at 9am even though breakfast is served until 10 am. Very watery fruit juices. Cappuccino machine not working.

Nice size portions, good variety of food on offer from sandwiches jacket potatoes to steak well presented and Tasty, Zena very pleasant waitress.
