Velvet Taco - The Colony

So glad that they put a Velvet Taco in The Colony. Great date night or late night place for great tacos. Fun staff that will take care of you. Highly recommended if you are looking for great tacos. Lots of photo options on the side of the building. If you are doing keto or low carb ask them to do lettuce wraps.

I've ordered from this restaurant multiple times, and I've always enjoyed it. They offer a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian taco options, including shrimp, chicken tikka, paneer, and gobi fry. The elote and chips are absolutely delicious as well. The quality of the food is impressive, and the tacos are larger than what you typically find elsewhere. They have both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Prices are reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. The customer service is also good, although they can get busy, so online orders may take a little longer to prepare.

My new favorite spot for tacos and margaritas! I absolutely love the grilled salmon and brisket tacos—they're consistently amazing. The margaritas are fantastic, too! I appreciate the convenience of the pickup window, and the service is always excellent. The guy in glasses, who I assume is the manager, is always friendly and accommodating!

I visited Velvet Taco at their Grandscape location and I'm giving it 4 stars primarily because of the prices and portion sizes. Each taco was $5, and that doesn't include any sides or chips, which feels a bit steep for street tacos. On the bright side, the tacos themselves were delicious! I tried the Buffalo chicken taco and the grilled salmon, and both were packed with flavor. The atmosphere was also quite nice.

Good food, good service, excellent introduction to food, spice level, etc for new comers like us.
