フィードバックを提供するThe sushi at Su restaurant is delicious, although on the pricey side. The location in Tesuque likely contributes to the cost. We ordered the Omakase, a chef's selection 3-course meal. The sushi cuts were good, but it would be preferable to be served real wasabi, as at Izanami Restaurant at Ten Thousand Waves. The ambiance did not match the high price point. I would rather dine at Izanami Restaurant or make the trip to Taos for Sushi A La Hattori. The food presentation was mediocre, with the first dish looking good but the last two lacking presentation. Our waitress was excellent and kind. Overall, the experience at Su restaurant did not justify the high price.
My experience at the sushi bar was fantastic. The food and service were impeccable. We enjoyed a delicious bottle of sake and ordered a variety of dishes. Highlights included the tempura green chile stuffed with shrimp, the mixed fish tartare, and the nigiri and rolls. I was especially pleased to see they had otoro, one of my all-time favorites. I highly recommend this place and look forward to trying the Omakase next time. Food: 5 stars.
The food was excellent and Alexander, the chef, was incredibly kind and accommodating. His experience working under Japanese chefs was evident in the quality of the meal. We ordered the Omakase meal and it was both delicious and a great value.
I have lived in NM for my whole life and this is the best sushi I have ever had by far not only in NM but in my whole life. This place is a must go if you are in the area. Head chef Alex and his team are so nice and are incredible chefs. I could not possibly recommend this place more if I tried.
Chef Alexander and the team are serving up the best sushi I have had. Fresh, textured, dynamic flavor combinations. Wow! (Mixed platter pictured). Girlfriend and I split the Tokyo and El Nido rolls (amazing, more than enough for 2 people), and also had a bowl of Miso (excellent).
