Homestead Cabin Cafe - Tendring

The menu at this restaurant is always changing, but the service is consistently great and the staff are very friendly. We try to come here as often as we can for breakfast and Sunday lunch because it's always perfect.

My husband and I often go here for breakfast as we are quite local. The food is always served very fast, is piping hot and cooked to perfection. Service is always with a smile and the breakfast choices are all excellent value. During COVID the safety measures have been excellent and we feel very safe there. We sign in and the tables are well spaced, and each set of tables and chairs is thoroughly disinfected between customers. Very highly recommended

Take no notice of the old bloke moaning about his broccoli, how petty …the food here is great, and the service couldn’t be better. We eaten here regularly for years, and will continue to do so

As we were about to leave, I approached another waitress and pointed out the issue with the broccoli. However, she also treated it as a joke, saying that since we had eaten it, it must have been okay. I then pointed out that our plates still had untouched broccoli on them, but she simply told us to go to another place down the road next time. I was upset by their attitude, especially since I had been a regular customer and they didn't take my complaint seriously. There was no apology or offer of a refund.
