The pizzas were fresh and very tasty, as were the nuggets (incredible infact). Still piping hot by the time I got everything to the venue. The kids all loved the food (as did the adults). Well done “Family Pizza Company” we would certainly recommend you
As it was my partners birthday and the only pizza she likes is Family Pizza in Clacton (where it’s always been excellent), we were closer to Aylesford, so thought we would grab dinner from there on our way past. Sadly, this one doesn’t have the same charm as the Clacton branch. The lad taking orders seemed completely out of his depth, even when we showed what we wanted on the paper menu. We sat in and waited for our order to be cooked, while we were there another customer found that his order of a large chips only, had been completely forgotten and he’d been waiting for around 20 minutes. Not a good sign! When our order was ready we had to ask for serviettes (which took 5 minutes to find) and for our second drink. Once we left and sat down to eat, we found that we had received the same pizza twice (despite ordering two different ones) and the way they had been cut looked like some sort of puzzle! We will stick to Clacton from now on!
Since the the new year the family pizza company have gone down hill forgetting to cook what you have ordered and taking longer then usual to get my order ready
Those who check out my reviews will know I’ve been lucky up till now and have had great experiences wherever I’ve been. I’ve also been using Family Pizza Arlesford nr Colchester since they opened with never a bad experience until the last two delivery orders. This time and the previous time, instead of the usual 45 minutes, I’ve waited 1 hour 40 minutes each time. This is OK if the food is to the standard I’ve come to expect, unfortunately no. Both times our nachos have been so overcooked the nachos are burnt and the cheese was melted in a pool in the box and burnt black. As my wife and I have tried to pick something out of them it became clear that they were barely warm. So give up and move onto pizza, nicely cooked but cold, not even warm. Garlic bread the same. We put this night down to a busy night and moved on. Then, tonight. The same thing and if possible all even colder as this time the nachos were just as cold as the rest. I phoned up this time and was told that they would replace it but only tonight. I’m a key worker and do shifts which is why we order early around 1800, bed by 2000 so to stay up late and sleep on a full stomach is not an option. They wouldn’t hold it over for us for another time. Last time I will waste my money here.
I’ve been eating the amazing pizzas at Family Pizza Alresford for a few years and have been a regular customer. However recently I have been diagnosed with a gluten and dairy intolerance and now need to eat gluten free pizza. Pizza Hut, Dominos and Dough and Co all offer gluten free so I assumed that I would be able to get it from here, however when I went in to order pizza for us as a family I was told they couldn’t cater for me at all. So unfortunately I will be taking mine and my family’s business elsewhere until they hopefully catch up and realise that this is a market that needs to be catered for. Some people believe that up to 40% of the population are gluten intolerant and just haven’t realised it yet and 5% currently are now eating gluten free. This is a growing market, Family pizza please can we have gluten free? I was going to DM this but there is nowhere on the website to message.
