Haji-baba - Tempe

This place has been here for 40 yearsish. It is still spot on for when you want what haji baba has got. Great food and service. I survived off the Falafal sandwich when I was in my 20's for a bit.

We absolutely adore this restaurant. We have been dining here for over 20 years because the food is truly incredible. Today, we enjoyed a combination plate with chicken shawarma, a chicken kabob, and Sanbusek.

This place doesn't look like much but you're gonna be blown away by the quality of the food here. I would highly suggest you order the combination Kabab Mixed plate, it comes with Chicken kabab, kabab Koobideh and shish kabab lamb. Served with hummus and tabooli. Everything was cooked to perfection, the meats were so tender, the seasoning on everything was spot on! The Tabooli was out of this world!! I also ordered a side order of Gyro meat, I just had to and it didn't disappoint.

The lunch I had was excellent. The gyro plate was fantastic. The rice, pita, and salad were all delicious, but the gyro meat stood out as exceptional. There is also a market on the premises where you can purchase Mediterranean products. It had been years since my last visit, but the quality was just as I remembered. I will definitely be coming back.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic. I ordered the chicken shawarma and my husband ordered the lamb shish kabab. Personally, I preferred the chicken dish over the lamb but both were excellent. Despite the saying that everything is bigger in Texas, I found that the portion sizes in Arizona, where we were dining, were quite generous. Each of the dishes cost around $17.
