If you don’t love this place, then you either aren’t Mexican or simply don’t understand good food. In that case, you might want to stick with Macayo's or Taco Bell, which might suit your taste better. Food: 5/5
Be ready to spend more than necessary for mediocre food. Additionally, be aware of the 15% service fee applied to parties of five or more. This fee is not viewed as a tip or gratuity; it is strictly labeled as a service fee. They don't mention this charge upfront, and I only noticed it when I was paying my bill. Food Quality: 3/5.
The food here was very tasteful. We had lengua, chicken carnitas tacos. Along with a carnitas burrito, beans, rice Modelo Dos Equis beers. Our server, David (I believe that was his name), was so kind, helpful with the menu how the dishes came since it was our first time here. My wife I will be back when we're out visiting the east valley, we highly recommend this restaurant.
Quality usually doesn’t come quickly. Be prepared to wait a bit as this isn’t turn-and-burn service. And be prepared to taste some amazing food. It’s hand made, everything. And you can taste it. Wow, is really all I can say about the mole poblano! My margarita was also made by hand, not poured from a batch. My server was very friendly and attentive when I needed something.
Authentic and tasty. Get the tlacoyos with tinga. They're the perfect balance of spice, queso fresco, crunch, chewiness, and sauce.
