El Pollo Loco - Tempe

The restaurant changed their hours to open at 9am on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, but failed to update any information. The sign indicates that the dining room is closed and inaccessible at 9am. I arrived at 9:10 and was disappointed as I was looking forward to dining there. What a letdown.

There were 5 employees, 3 women and 2 teenagers working in the register. I had to repeat my order 4 times for a family meal with 2 drinks. The older man, Mac, stood by the table but did not help with the order. The tables were not clean and there were no chairs to sit on. The buckets with dirty water were left in the middle of the dining area. The overall atmosphere was disappointing and it was not pleasant to dine in such conditions. I was unable to enjoy the food or serve it to my family.

The roasted chicken was delicious, the location was convenient, and there were great affordable options. The service was also good.
