フィードバックを提供するI recently visited a fantastic new restaurant where the food was just as amazing as the atmosphere! The warm and welcoming decor, along with mesmerizing lava lamps, created a wonderful feel that took me back in time. The menu had excellent choices, and the mixed starters were delightful, followed by generous main courses with a hint of nostalgia. The homemade desserts were absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to go back soon and experience both the delicious food and inviting atmosphere again.
I am not a professional reviewer I just say it how it is so apologies if my wording is not up to standard. I visited the restaurant on opening night with my son and his friend as I kept looking at the menu in the window before it opened and thought it was different to the normal places I visit. We got a taxi but there are many parking spaces outside on the road or a car park at the bottom of the road just off the island on the left towards Bliss Hill. The décor is style with wonderful up beat background music not your normal jingles. On entering we were met buy one of the owners (Pam) with the most welcoming smile although it was the opening night so not sure if she would always be there but we were handed over to really friendly and welcoming staff to be seated. The lighting and feel of the place was like when you come in out of the cold rain and put your comfy clothes on and sit by the fire that aahh feeling of homeliness if you know what I mean. The Food – Well it has to be the tastiest food I have ever tasted and that is not an exaggeration. To start I had the French Onion Soup and so did my son and his friend. If you think boring soup of the day this certainly was not your average soup of the day I can honestly say I have never tasted soup so delicious all of us were overwhelmed by how gorgeous it was I could eat it every day. For mains we all had different I can’t remember what each dish was called but I had Pork my son had Chicken and his friend had Al’s Steak Pie. None of these were your everyday meals they were cooked to perfection in different ways with sauces and just tasted like nothing else none of us had a bad word to say, the vegetable they put in the middle of the table to help yourself but even these were not ordinary cooked. You will not be hungry when you leave I can tell you that for the very reasonable prices you get plenty of food and the Cheesecake was to die for They serve alcoholic and soft drinks so there is something to suit all. The service was second to none and the food was amazing and I cannot wait to go back.Dress whichever way you want you will be just as at home in Jeans and nice top as well as a beautiful dress. Just don’t wear your joggers and trainers that is a no no Bad points – The only point to make is that there is no disabled access but if you are disabled and have someone to help you I am sure they would accommodate you perfectly if they knew in advance so they would know you might need some help. I hope my review has been helpful to anyone planning a visit because you really should visit.
Amazing food. really nice atmosphere. the music is and really fits with the retro design of the bistro. you get a lot of food for your money. when you come in they give you a free mimosa and little nibbles. would eat there again and again.
This new restaurant is fantastic, with delicious food that matches the cozy atmosphere perfectly. The warm decor and mesmerizing lava lamps create a wonderful feeling that takes you back in time. The menu offers excellent choices, with mixed starters and generous main courses that have a touch of nostalgia. The homemade desserts are deliciously gloomy. We can't wait to experience both the food and atmosphere again soon.
The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The music complements the retro design of the bistro perfectly. Customers get a lot of value for their money. Upon arrival, they are greeted with a free mimosa and some small snacks. I would definitely dine at this restaurant again and again.
