Their Sunday roast is a culinary experience not to be missed, with tender and succulent sirloin steak that will leave you wanting more. The Yorkshire puddings are a taste sensation, unlike any other I have ever had. The atmosphere at The Ring of Bells is warm and welcoming, with staff who go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Pair your meal with a glass of Rioja for the perfect combination of flavors. We will definitely be returning to this gem of a restaurant, where culinary excellence and friendly service come together in perfect harmony. Cheers to The Ring of Bells, our new favorite spot for dining in the new year!
I went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch with my family and dog on a rainy day. The pub and staff were very friendly and welcoming. They allowed us to choose our seating, were very accommodating with the menu (which was excellent - we both had different variations of the Sunday roast and it was delicious with large portions), and even gave special treats to our dog from the kitchen. The staff were very friendly and genuine. The wine list, service, menu, and atmosphere were all great. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return and recommend it to others.
We had an unexpected visit to this restaurant due to a problem with our Airbnb booking. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Victoria, who introduced us to Mark, the manager. Mark quickly found us a lovely room for us and our dog, and even offered us a discounted rate because we hadn't booked through a major booking agent. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Our dinner was absolutely delightful, with excellent service and delicious food. Mark and his team provided us with the best service we can remember, and we look forward to returning in the future. The restaurant is located in a picturesque village with stunning views all around - a truly quintessential British pub experience that made us proud to be British.
Very nice atmospheric pub/restaurant.I ate here twice in a week. The second time was disappointing. Servietts were removed with the starter plates. We were a group of 3. I asked for new servietts, with the main but just given 2 servietts. We had ordered Venison and a Large steak for 2 on the bone.I had to ask for steak knives. No one asked if the mains were OK. Ready to pay, I had to look for a waitress. Then paying, we were charged £20 service.I paid so not to ruffle feathers, but I felt it was disappointing
We arrived very late and rather stressed for a midweek lunch. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and although the kitchen should have been closed by the time we got there, within minutes we were sitting with beers in a warm, cosy and welcoming bar and soon after were eating a really delicious lunch. 10/10 to all staff!!
