Takara Japanese Restaurant&bar

The food is really fresh and delicious. The owner is extremely friendly. Although the service might feel a bit rushed, I really enjoy dining here.

Takara is one of the places that I and my wife very appreciate. we live 150 km away from this restaurant, but we would visit this place without hesitation. we were surprised that they changed their menu recently in comparison to their old menu that we loved and always loved most. truthfully, you menu above our breaks out very much. everything has more love in it and we can taste the effort they put on every dish. when they are in tauranga looking for a fantastic professional, and high-class experience, they fall at their place and they will not be disappointed. love the new vibe and menu! people stop!

We had an amazing dining experience at this beautiful restaurant, thanks to the wonderful staff. My aunt and I truly enjoyed our time there. Overall, it's a fantastic restaurant that I highly recommend!

The food was enjoyable, but not extraordinary. I ordered the chicken katsu and would have preferred the katsu sauce to be drizzled on the chicken rather than served on the side. The prices were also a bit on the high side. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I likely wouldn’t make a special trip to return. However, everyone at our table seemed to like their meals, so I believe it's a reliable spot for Japanese cuisine.

Very fast friendly service. In fact, we got asked every few minutes if everything was good by various waiters, which was getting a bit tiring. The food was good, although the signature teriyaki chicken didn’t really taste like teriyaki (the chicken clearly wasn’t soaked but only covered in teriyaki sauce). The pork was amazing!! Overall a good experience we’ll definitely come back for.
