The Rising Sun Inn Ph - Taunton Deane

During a weekend celebrating a 70th Birthday, our group of 23 needed a spot for Sunday Lunch. The Rising Sun came through, providing us with a private room and excellent service from Andy. They were incredibly helpful and responsive to all our needs. The meal was enjoyed by all and the experience was seamless. Thank you to the staff at The Rising Sun for a great time!

My partner and I recently spent a night at this hotel and enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast during our stay. We were able to bring along our two dogs, as the hotel is pet-friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, stocked with plenty of tea, coffee, and snacks. The bathroom amenities were also good. We found the pricing of the rooms to be very reasonable. The dinner was fantastic! We started with some delicious chicken wings and enjoyed perfectly cooked fish for our main course. My Husband had the Blade of Beef, which was a hit with all the diners around us. The desserts were also delightful and we felt the entire meal was great value for money. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was a bit plain, with limited options, but we were quickly served a full English breakfast after stating our preferences. Despite this, we would definitely come back and recommend this establishment to others.

Always our favorite pub and restaurant in the quantock hills and this visit was as good as ever. breathtaking view in the evening sunshine over the blackdown hills, the vale of taunton and beyond. really an idyllic place.

Amazing cozy pub in a small village. we decided to book a frying in advance on Easter Sunday after we walk around the quantock hills. so glad that we eat impeccable service from everyone and great tasting! if we ever visit the opposite in future, we know where we fall in. 10/10

Great village pub with exceptional food, owner was so helpful. Even allowed us to go in for breakfast the next day as staying in Airbnb opposite. Super location well worth a visit.
