The Star Drive In - Taunton

Aunt and I stayed here on the way back from Roseland Nursey in Acushnet. Aunt has a cup of vanilla with hot fudge. I ordered the pineapples and raspberry mixed whip. Both were delish. Good to see this place again!

I've taken my family for ice cream at Star before and their ice cream is great, but I thought they were otherwise primarily seafood. Boy was I wrong. They have a huge selection of other foods that are amazing! Took a chance on the fried calzone tonight and it's my new favorite local pizza option. My husband got burgers and clam cakes which he also loved and my kids shared a 2 hot dog and fries dinner. And they ate all of it. Which is saying something for a 4 and 1 year old. If you were like me and think of the Star Drive in as just ice cream and seafood- please do yourself a favor and branch out! You will not be disappointed. Oh and the staff is always super sweet and thorough with your order. And the prices can't be beat!

We visit Star Drive Inn as often as we can… we live about 1/2 hour away but it’s worth the extra time it takes us to get there.. this place is a hidden gem right off the hiway!!! I have never had any complaints with the servers or the chef…people have to realize it takes extra time to cook (especially seafood) and sometimes the place is booming.. this place has the best servers, they are friendly, fast and organized..They also have functions once in awhile, car shows and music.. keep up the great work!

Soup flights and bread bowls are here! Kudos to the STAR drive for a great idea (which does not want more than a delicious soup), delicious, fresh and hot bread bowl, and not to mention the great presentation / packaging! The soups are coming! (I actually have 2 flights and we tried the zuppa toscana, clam chowder, corn chowder, beef stew and filled cabbage all were excellent). In addition, I was offered a grilled cheese instead of the French diving sandwich, which comes with the flight as I did not want the French dip. Great customer service!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G I went here for ice cream for myself and my pups . Not only did I get great service but their ice cream is to die for. NOW for the kicker I order 3 dog ice creams now this is not a whimsy store bought frosty paw or just your average dog ice cream bottom of the barrel scrape, A HEARTY size of vanilla ice cream nicely presented with dog treats and a little drizzle of doggy treat sauce . They also had a live band playing that was fantastic sounding . YES take your family here,YES take your pets here and YES post about it
