Pane Pelle Vino - TARQUINIA

We have just had the most wonderful dinner at this welcoming restaurant. The food and wine were the best we’ve experienced so far in Italy and the staff, while very professional, made us feel like we’d just dropped into a family home for dinner.

Touring Italy by road, we've mostly been spending our time in historical town centres, and found the (often fantastic) food very much on the traditional side. This was our first taste of a more modern interpretation of Italian food and it did not disappoint. Our home town, Melbourne, is stuffed with highly rated fine-dining restaurants with modern takes on traditional foods and Pane Pelle Vino would be right up with the best of them. The difference? No egotistical snootiness and saving about 60% on the bill. Highly recommended. Great food (no point going into it all in detail as the menu changes regularly) but the balsamic onions, beef stew and everything else we ate that night stood out. The best meal we had in Tarquinia.

We were travelling from Rome to Sienna with our two children and stopped here en route for lunch. The food was delicious and we felt very welcomed. How fortunate to find this restaurant!

Cena di fine estate con uno di quei tramonti che solo Marina velka sa regalare. Portate scelte da un menu stringato ma sapientemente preparato dall’abile chef. La lista dei vini propone anche cantine locali da provare...in attesa della musica dal vivo. Insomma una perfetta serata, bravi!

Piacevole aperitivo sul prato vista mare. Si pranza o cena sotto una veranda dove viene presentato un menù semplice ma con piatti presentati e cucinati alla perfezione. Anche la qualità delle materie è buona. Il personale di sala è giovane e dinamico (Valeria si è sempre prodigata per accontentarci con estrema velocità e gentilezza). Prezzi giusti con quanto offerto. Consiglio vivamente!
