Capt'n Jack's Waterfront Grille

It's another Sunday and I'm taking my son out to eat. Saw this place in passing and decided I wanted to go. Now we decided to sit outside and I started to regret that decision. They were setting up for live music. I am not a fan of live music when I eat. It is usually to loud and you can't enjoy conversation with people. We were seated quickly and our waitress was there fast to get the drink order. She was pleasant but not overly intrusive which was great. We ordered the Calamari and half a dozen fresh oysters for our appetizers. My son ordered the ultimate fish sandwich and I selected the Mahi Ravioli. The view is excellent and weather was perfect for eating outside. The oysters were small but tasty. The calamari on the other hand was delicious great. The music has started and as I thought it added nothing to the atmosphere. Should have gotten seats further away live and learn. Our food arrived and that fish sandwich is huge. My son he could eat it with or without the tartar sauce. It was just huge to my eyes. Now my meal combined the unique taste of mahi with ravioli and the cream sauce with the mango salsa as a topping. The salsa was mild so it was not overpowering. I highly recommend trying it. Except for the music I liked this place. I give it 3.8 stars.

Oysters were not good. Coconut shrimp was 10/10. Cute setting on the water. Service was okay.

Pretty setting. The food was ordinary. Service was lacking for the price. It's on the water which is a plus.

I just left captain jack's, what a bad experience. Waited forever for someone to acknowledge me, I was sitting at the table a while before someone came over to bring me a menu, Also two little brats running around and being obnoxious, some parents have no common sense. I ordered the clam chowder soup. It was tasty but cold. The real disappointment was the fish and chips. Very thin slices of fishy flounder and it was double battered. Basically it was all breading. It's a good thing they have a view of the water because thats about it.I should have listened to my Aunt and gone to Culver's.

Service was a delight!! Food was delicious and came out fast!! Great area and dining experience!
