I also noticed that somehow the meat quality have changed. They're buying low quality meat, or it is beaf mixed with something else.
This is the original Eric's Hamburger place in a dingy, darkish arcade off the Boulevard Pasteur in downtown Tangier, and it's been in this location since the 1960s. Eric's is a fast-food business that has expanded to two other locations in Tangier, one in Malabata and the other (Eric's 2) on Avenue Mohammed V next to Cafe Sevilla. Years ago I went to Eric's Hamburger several times for a simple hamburger, a Quality Burger, an Egg Burger, etc. The place, as it appears today, does not look modern, attractive or very clean, nor does it seem to attract many customers. Perhaps at night there are more since it once was open 24 hours but I don't know if this is true anymore. I can't imagine anyone eating here regularly, since it now seems like a hole in the wall and many other places exist in Tangier that are better and also very reasonable in price. At times the place is very poorly lit and you will seldom see anyone eating here. I still have an Eric's Hamburger t-shirt that I bought on one of my first visits to Tangier.
Very basic hamburger.. Plus its expensive (25dh) with no French fries and coke, probably it was good in its high days..
Eric's is disgusting.. undercooked peices of meat!! Bought 2 hotdogs and a burger for my daughters all 3 went in the bin.. the burgers was literally blood pink inside as he had them on grill for 2mins although I asked for well done... the hotdogs was equally bad... never ever again!!!
