The service was wonderful. Not too much attention, but simply enough. The decor consisted of pictures of the five Boroughs. Places we knew. We were gone, too. The only complaint I had was that the bathrooms were on the right side of the kitchen and you had to go near the busy area to get there. I really wish they were somewhere else. Five stars. If you're ever safe in the area.
This place is terrific. We only had a few minutes to grab a bite before our plane. The customer service was wonderful even though they were super busy. The Cuban sandwich was delicious. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich was very hard to put down. The Chicken Club was scrumptious. All were recommended and all were excellent. Will return often! Thanks for a great experience.
We've been to the original one in Palm Harbor and liked it a lot. It's great that the Westshore location has finally opened after being 3 years in the works. It's only been open for a little over a month and I think they're doing well ironing out the kinks. It was a Friday night at 8:30pm and we got seated immediately. I do think the rain that night helped keep the crowds down. I like the decor and ambience of recognizable New York City sites and areas especially the Yankee Stadium wall. Our waitress was pleasant and knew which sandwich we were asking for when we showed a picture from their Facebook page. She offered us bread and it was good but cold and I was expecting it to be warm at least. Drinks and food came out in a timely manner and both of our sandwiches were really good. I definitely preferred the Reuben Combo because it was a hot sandwich on a cool night. True New York City sandwiches, especially pastrami and/or corned beef ones, set a high standard and this is as close as it gets to getting one here in Tampa. Other reviewers say the Palm Harbor location does it better but I say it's just as good. It was most likely a bitter experience from the first weeks of just opening and long waits. I had a short wait with quick service and so maybe I'm biased in that point. Oh well.
This place is so cool. We both ordered the Meat Eater and loved it. Potato chips and cole slaw are yummy too. New York style cheesecake is delish. Go eat here if you can.
Great food. Huge sandwiches. The pastrami and corned beef are excellent. The french connection was incredible. Fried green tomatoes and Reuben egg rolls top notch.
