My husband and I went there on Thursday, Nov. 9, for dinner to celebrate his birthday. I am handicapped and was denied seating accommodations at a table because we weren’t a party of 6! The restaurant was not busy, there was plenty of seating available at tables, booths, and bar height tables, and no one waiting to be seated, yet whoever was in charge denied my husband and I seating. This could have easily been remedied by pulling one table aside for 2 people. We have been to plenty of restaurants that have done that for us. This was humiliating and very disappointing to me and sends a clear message that Sammies does not care about good customer service, particularly for the handicapped. I emailed them and of course have received no response, which further indicates no emphasis on customer service. My husband and I will not be going back there again and will be happy to share our experience with others by word of mouth and on social media. Our recommendation is that you find another restaurant that will treat you like they want your business!!

We went at lunch hour which is less busy for most places and they were no different, but a fair number of people for a Sunday afternoon. Food was superb; their fries are the best, thick and crispy. Very nice on the inside, nothing necessarily eye catching or unique but also nothing disruptive. Our waitress was very kind and knowledgeable. A very great above average experience, and lovely that it is close to the Tallmadge circle. Go for the food. I can't speak to the atmosphere or service of the bar at busy hours, but it's a local business celebrating 10yrs being open (through the pandemic is commendable) so they're doing something right I'd say. Parking: The parking lot seemed small for the amount of space inside. It is a family friendly type of bar/restaurant with lots of booths, dunno if that would make a difference for parking situation. Probably 40ish spots.
