Cafe Lyon - Tallinn

Came here with the restaurant week promotion so we got the set menu frog legs with salad and baguette, white fish with peas pure and a chocolate cake. It was all really really good, I had to take pictures as well to remember it because the taste was amazing and the combination of the different ingredients a win. The service was very nice as well, served us the wine to pair it up with each dish, and always made sure the chef cooked the next dish on time to not wait too much nor get cold. Loved it! Only inconvenience was the location.

The chocolate cake was good. The pastries were very crunchy, with a nice butter taste, I like it!

Very bad experience. We visited the cafe on the second Christmas Day and it was a disaster. All the food served was cold. The eggs benedict were hard, the hollandaise sauce was thick and ice cold. The French breakfast was tasteless, even the mulled wine served was a cold and some kind of unpleasent cloudy liquid. It seems the chef was on vacation and was replaced by an intern. In any case, it is unacceptable, especially for such high prices! The service was rudimentary, we waited our drinks for 20 minutes and after the food was brought to the table, no one was interested in how our food tasted or do we need something more. We also bought eclairs, they were good. I don't recommend anyone to eat there. Really, don’t waste your money for nothing!

This place is amazing. The people who work there are very kind and speak English. The pastries are delicious.
