Ferry Plaza Food Stalls - Tahiti

My review is from 2018. I was already a few times for the business for the business and found it very difficult to find vegan options on this island, especially when eating with colleagues (the meats eat). I found that this was a best bet for a super opportunity where most of the people stay happy. I remember that there are two places with vegan options. a lot of luck! and here is to hope that tahiti will become more vegan friendly in the future. at least they have delicious fresh fruit and vegetables!

Now that burger machine is closed (september 2016), there is only tuk tuk food truck that offers decent vegan food with suppening, Maine dishes and veggie rolls. Although it happened several times that I found small pieces of huh in my “vegan supp”e.: I think it is really vegan recipes, but they are probably not very careful with the tools they use for the service, and probably do not pay attention to mixing them with their omnivore part.

This food truck has served 1 vegan linsenburger option in a brotrolle with salat, tomaten and fried zwiebeln. the only sauce that is vegan is the tomato sauce. served with fries or Uru chips. it was really good and the portion size was huge! also the personal speaks well English and his written vegan burger on their menu. it is a great atmosphere and worth a visit.

There is a fantastic new food truck called La Burger Machine that serves delicious patties. Unlike Linsenburger, this food truck offers a wider range of options. While most other food trucks had limited vegetarian choices, La Burger Machine offers tasty alternatives, although they seem to have some confusion about what constitutes vegetarian.

Although there are about 9-10 mobile vendors cooking up Chinese hot foods and Pizzas, the choice for vegetarians is rather limited to vegetable fried noodles, veg fried rice, and some with tofu. I tried a veg rice dish at the Hong Kong stall and ask the chef to leave out the MSG, but I think he put it in anyway or maybe it was the canned mushrooms he used, because I didn't feel so good afterwards... the taste was okay, but the MSG made me feel bad. There is another Chinese food stall Kim that look decent, so maybe that one is a better try!
