The Pier Back Porch - Syracuse

Stopped in here after an event and they were able to get us seated quickly even though they were busy and mostly seat reservations. It is in a hotel but well worth the stop for just a meal. Menu looked full of wonderful selections and the 4 things we had at our table were great. So was the apps and desserts. One of our party was in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating to make sure we were comfortable. Will definitely stop in again, though maybe next time with a reservation.

Excellent food at the Premier Resort Destination of Northern Indiana. We were there to late to enjoy the sunset over Lake Wawasee, but ambiance at the Pier and Back Porch is still worth the trip! The restaurant is family friendly and the menu offers many taste tempting delicacies! The hardest choices of our night was deciding what to order. And, we can't wait to go again!

Our 'first half ' of appetizers, service and a very good beer listing. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. Our family of six were all pleased with their meal. I really enjoyed the server we had she was very attentive as well as a great personality. I 'd highly recommend this eatery in the northern Indiana lake life area.

So disappointed with everything about my experience today. My husband and I went for dinner. There were so many bees flying around and we werent the only customers to complain about them. Our waitress barely attended to us. She took our order and disappeared for quite a while. By the time she got back to our table to check on us my husband was already done with his meal and someone else took his plate. We went without water for our entire meal because she didn 't acknowledge us. She spilled part of my alcoholic beverage on my leg while setting it on the table. A bee flew into my drink after taking a few sips, so when the waitress finally came back to the table and saw that it was still almost full she asked if I liked it. I said no, that a bee flew into it and I couldn 't drink it after that. She looked at me and my husband and said Are you sure you didn 't leave a piece of honey in there for it.? WOW! Extremely poor service on her part. Our steaks weren 't cooked correctly and portion sizes for sides were sad, just sad. Needless to say we did not leave a nice tip and we will not be going back for another meal. Used to be such a nice place, hate seeing it go downhill.

The location is nice. Great view of the water. As far as service food, it was just ok. We ordered soda we were served cans. I expected soda from a machine I guess, for such an upscale establishment. The Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo was $19 overall it was decent but the chicken was boiled and the flavor was bland not very good. I picked around the chicken for the most part. The bartender was talking to a customer nearby about farmers how they're lazy and everything they do negatively effects others, etc. My husband is a farmer and so we just sat there listening as he unprofessionally shared his opinions on the matter within ear shot. Overall, it's a decent place to get dinner by the water. Maybe a little overpriced for the quality of food you get service could be better.
