Sushi Hotaru - Sydney

Back at Sushi Hotaru today & I can't even express how disappointed I am with this place.

If I was only allowed to eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would have to be sushi.

We have benn to this sushi restaurant on our previous visits to see my husband's family in Sydney. The first time a fellow patron introduced us to the seared salmon nigiri. Quite honestly I could eat that for lunch every day. It's better if you order from the iPad in front of your chair as the one time I went on this trip I took an extra one from the sushi train and it was cold as opposed to the ordered ones. The restaurant has all Asiaan staff and food is served quickly. Ideal for a quick lunch and delicious. It is in the Galeries building upstairs, opposite from the QVB building. Very reasonable but then we haven't eaten in any other Sydney sushi places so don't know going rate. We normally go at least 3 times in a 10 day visit.

This is seriously an addictive sushi train. I eat here once a week on average and it is so delicious and the sushi is so fresh. The soft-shelled crab sushi is amazing and the spicy seared scallop sushi is so delicate and delicious. Everything is really tasty. It's not cheap for sushi but I think it's worth every cent.

The food is fresh and delicious. Lots of variety on their menu, prices are good and the sushi train is varied and fun. Service is very average, but due to the high volume of patrons, not really a place you need to worry about it .. Worth a visit, after a hard morning of shopping with friends.
