Los Vida - Sydney

Wasn't looking to eat but was handed a 1 free taco voucher with any drink. Well I did want a cold beer. Had the fish taco it was like a little trial, but really that was enough. It had a nice bite but not too...hot. The star was the Tracey Mexican beer. So easy to drink. Served with lime and salt. If I hadn't made other plans would have had dinner here. The service was friendly and all round good service even though my meal was free. Well priced menu.

The decor and space are really appealing, but the menu is quite limited, focusing mainly on overpriced tacos $8 each). Two of the four items we wanted were unavailable. The tortilla chips with guacamole $12) were cold and stale. The salmon and carnitas tacos both...had a not-so-fresh taste. It was Sunday evening and the waiter said they had started the weekend with everything on the menu...but it sure felt like by the time we got there they were sort of cleaning out the fridge. The drinks were delicious, but there must be better tacos in Sydney. Don't bother.

Thought I would try this new place as I 'm a big fan of tacos. And who can resist a free one? (With the purchase of a drink). I went for the famous fish , short rib beef, and a lamb one. The fish and the beef...were outstanding. The lamb could be improved. Overall I was very impressed with both the service, and the food. Another place added to my lunch options.

Tried a variety off the menu today and really enjoyed ourselvesThe beef and pork tacos were yum and juicyGuac and corn chips were tasty and zesty.

Tolerable tacos We all know how weak the Mexican food scene is downunder But it's human to love tacos.
