フィードバックを提供するI love all of the Flavor restaurants in Sydney. I eat here regularly and have never gotten sick. I have celiac disease and am very sensitive to gluten.
Small place needs some refurb. Mozza stuffed meatballs in a marinara sauce was tasty even though I am not a marinara fan. Very small menu definitely on the healthier side. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. I was hungry though not long after. Had no time for desert but they looked nice in the showcase. We will be back again
I decided to try out Flavor for dinner after it was recommended to me. The restaurant was quite busy and I felt sorry for the waitress who seemed to be the only one working on a Saturday night. This resulted in slower service, but the curry and seafood soup were quite tasty.
The reviews had raised our expectations of the food, but we were not overly impressed. The restaurant is small and exclusive, with limited tables. We were fortunate to secure one, but observed many groups being turned away. This indicates that it is a popular spot among locals. We tried their meatballs, salads, and sandwiches. The sandwich had too much bread and lacked filling – it would have been better with less bread or more filling. The steak sandwich contained dry, tough meat with an overpowering amount of cheese on enormous bread. The meatballs, however, were a standout, filled with cheese. The dish came with three meatballs, but was once again overshadowed by the large pieces of bread. The caesar salad was enjoyable, with just the right amount of dressing, but the huge croutons seemed to dominate the dish. The Joe's Bomb was overly spicy, drowning out the flavors of the chicken and sauce. The chowder soup was a highlight of the meal – rich, creamy, and delicious. However, it was again accompanied by a large piece of bread, making it difficult for gluten-intolerant individuals to find suitable options. In conclusion, the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, but the food was only average.
Flavor was recommended by the innkeeper at our B & B. We enjoyed an early casual dinner at the Pitt Street location. It was fabulous! We enjoyed the featured chicken sandwich with the roasted beet salad and the 'cub' sandwich with butternut squash soup. Definitely one of the best meals we have enjoyed in Nova Scotia. Our server was great. Even offered to make us unsweetened tea which isn't on their menu. Just hope we can visit this restaurant again before we leave town!
