Ren's Chinese - Sycamore

I ordered food for more than a decade. They offer the best tasting of Chinese cuisine in the area. If you are looking for a location for date night, this is not your place. Carry out is the main focus of this restaurant. English is not the first language spoken here, so be patient with the owner if you are he will provide you with an absolutely wonderful meal. Prices are very reasonable for the great amount of food, I always get two meals worth food. Place is not perfect, but I can overlook customer service to get the best tasting of Chinese food in the area! So if you have the need for a simple execution of Chinese meal, give this restaurant a chance!

Yeah, the place is a dive. Yes, it is a small town, most out/delivery space. Yeah, the food is really good. As the previous reviewer said, it is not 5 star kitchen, but it is not to be. It is filling and sharp and tastes good. We order here at least once a month because it is the best non-chain Chinese restaurant in the area.

I order delivery via Doordash to Sycamore, IL. The food is always fresh and delicious. Try the fried dumplings. The white rice is always perfect. The prices are more than fair and the food quality is good. Anything they make with tempura batter comes out perfectly!

The delivery was quick. I’ve never been inside the restaurant, and based on other reviews, that might be a good thing. I ordered the Mongolian beef, which was extra spicy, and it was fantastic. There was a generous amount of food for under six dollars. I also tried the Kung Pao chicken and really enjoyed it. So, that’s two out of two dishes that were excellent. However, the crab rangoon was not impressive, but that’s often the case whether you make it at home or go to PF Chang’s.

I've never had any issues with this restaurant. The owner is from China and has limited English skills, which can sometimes create communication challenges. Many customers seem to expect 4 or 5-star quality food and service for a $6 meal, and they often leave disappointed if their expectations aren’t met. It's a small Chinese restaurant, and you should go in knowing what to expect. The food is good, the staff has a great sense of humor, and the prices are fantastic.
