A fab little pub that sells real ale one of Swindon's hidden gems hard to find but worth it when you do

It was a pleasant pub with a great atmosphere. We visited on a Saturday evening and I have to concur with a previous review – the bar staff seemed more focused on their own concerns than on customer service.

I really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at this restaurant. I would definitely recommend it and will visit again the next time I'm in Swindon.

I found out why it's called the Roaring Donkey, if anyone is curious. At least that's what one of the older locals, named Robin, told me back when I used to go out for drinks...
