Social Pizzeria - Swannanoa

So disappointed with the changes at the former Social Pizza. Everything is terrible now. I'm heartbroken. Messed up phone orders and a undercooked pizza with a soft crust. Just awful. As they say, forget about it!

I dined at this restaurant twice during my stay at a nearby Airbnb. I will definitely make it a point to eat here whenever I am in the area. Their buy one, get one free pizza deal is unbeatable, and the pizzas are always freshly made to order with a wide selection of toppings and specialty options. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Make sure not to pass up the opportunity to dine here!

Steph's restaurant offers delicious pizza with a friendly atmosphere. Their Philly cheesesteak pizza is outstanding and even better than most Philly cheesesteaks in Asheville!

Hubby makes amazing homemade pizza at home, so it's not often that we order take-out pizza. After a long day on the lake, we were hungry and needed something quick and decided upon Social Pizzeria- we've been before but it had been almost a year. We were ordering a large pick-your-own toppings pizza, and were amazed to hear that all pizzas are buy one get one free- whaaa??! Apparently this is a special they run 365 days a year. So we ended up with 2 large pizzas for $16- pretty good deal. One pizza w/ ground sausage, bell pepper, and mushrooms; the other with chicken, spinach, and tomato. The crust was delicious but like another review mentioned, I would request it baked longer/crispier next time- a bit chewy for our personal preference. Also, the spinach on the chicken pizza kinda dried up when baking and was crunchy- maybe it should be mixed in with the sauce/cheese better instead of being one of the last things put on top of the pizza. Otherwise, everything was delicious, toppings were fresh, and we definitely enjoyed having the extra pizza for leftover meals.

The crust is great and heavy handed on toppings...the Social Pizzeria is the best pie you can get in Swannanoa! Owned by the same folks as the SOCIAL in East Asheville and they sure do make a terrific take-out/delivery pizza. Nowhere to sit unless you are waiting for a pick-up but if you live nearby or don 't mind reheating the pie when you get home this place is a home run! I suggest ordering it crispy unless you plan to re-heat at home anyway...the dough was just a touch to chewy for my taste but all things considered it didn 't matter since the sauce to cheese to toppings ratio were on point! If you are looking for a great pie in the area...I suggest calling one(or a few) in and swinging by to pick one up the next time you are craving pizza and passing through Swannanoa. They also deliver if you happen to live within a close proximity to the business. Don 't take my word for it. Call them up and order a pie...I promise you will be glad you did!
