Bregninge Kro - Svendborg

We were surprised to come across such a place in the middle of nowhere but the food was delicious, staff were super friendly and would definitely recommend visiting!

Had a great day when visiting Bregninge Kro, the food was great, no issues with the service, and their smørbrød was great! If me and my friends are in the neighborhood we are definitely stopping by again.

Premises were cold wear an extra layer. Not terribly clean either. Didn't get a smile from the landlady (although she had a cracking black eye so that may have put a downer on things). Freezer food. Or school cook type boiled spuds and a slab of meat. We wished we'd bought a sandwich at the supermarket. Tiny, frozen, deep fried camembert on a piece of that awful cardboard french fried bread buttered (WTF) 5 grapes and a blob of cranberry sauce. Yum. Not. Burger was served on a wooden board so obviously looked slightly better than it tasted. Coffee was good (it is Denmark so the coffee is generally good). Cake not so much. Won't bother again.

Wasn't expecting such good food in this relatively isolated place. It is a very big Inn, with both seats inside and outside (I would recommend to sit outside if the weather allows it, the atmosphere is unique! . Menu varies according to seasonal ingredients, this ensures very fresh food. Service was really nice too, we felt like guests in a local house.

Whilst on holiday in Denmark we came across this place completely by accident and it was such a great find! The staff were really lovely and the service was fantastic. Our favourite was the wiernersnitzel! Great food, staff and atmosphere we couldn’t ask for more!
