フィードバックを提供するI believe Safeway is fantastic, regardless of what others may say. They offer delicious sourdough bread and my favorite vegan cheese. They frequently stock Japanese eggplants, which I adore. They also have oyster mushrooms available almost every time I visit! This is my favorite vegetable, usually only found in Asian supermarkets. Plus, they're open until 2:00 AM, which is really convenient for late-night snacks.
She then took her sweet time preparing a 12-inch sandwich, stopping multiple times during the process to run to the other end of the deli to chat with her friends. She even complained about a bread delivery that hadn’t arrived, and when I asked for French bread, she didn’t look for it until after I had to remind her. After some time, she returned, saying they only had French bread, which I was fine with since that’s what I had asked for initially. Throughout this process, the line behind me grew longer, yet it seemed like none of us had anything better to do. I ended up waiting at the deli counter for 15 to 20 minutes just to get two sandwiches and two chicken tenders. This all happened around 9:00 AM. To make matters worse, the guy supervising the self-checkout disappeared as soon as I arrived. When I had an issue with the self-pay machine, I sat there waiting for him to return. I saw him chatting with an employee, taking his time while customers needed help. What happened to customer service? I definitely won’t be going back to Safeway in Susanville—or any other place in Susanville for that matter. I was just passing through to visit family and wanted to grab lunch for myself, my husband, and my kids. In the end, those two sandwiches and two chicken tenders cost over $30! Unreal.
Please ensure that products are kept within their expiration dates instead of being left on the shelves after they have expired. This has been a recurring issue throughout the year.
Cashier Dora is rude. Worked food for many years, so I have a soft spot for customer service workers I will be respectful and polite to ALWAYS, but she tried to enlighten me in thinking that I was rude to her. I have heard there were several negative encounters with Dora and many different customers at different times. It's time for Safeway to let her go, she literally sends shops to the street because of her bad attitude.
This review is just for the deli. Yesterday I went shopping and decided I wanted chicken wings. The flavor selections were limited: Buffalo (I could be wrong) and fried. The fried looked tasty so I chose them, asking for a dozen. After I arrived home and put the groceries away I sat down to enjoy a few wings. The breading was sooo HARD I could barely bite it. I had to break it off to get to the meat. I shared the breaded skin with my dog and even she had trouble chomping it. It tasted good, however.
